Step 1 – Meeting

Getting to know you is as important as visiting your property and forms the backbone of the interior design process. During our no-obligation visit, we’ll assess your property and talk about the services we can offer. We’ll then send you a written proposal outlining timelines, budgets and services for agreement.

Emma Hooton Ltd is an Associate of the British Institute of Interior Design and works under the industry standard contract BIID ID/10, ensuring utmost professionalism. At this stage, we can recommend architects, building contractors and advise on the tendering process. Planning permission or other documentation can also be progressed on your behalf.

Step 2 – Design

On appointment, we’ll take a detailed brief and measure the property for space planning and furniture layouts. Once basic layouts are agreed, electrical and lighting plans will be added to the drawings and any bespoke architectural finishes, lighting or fittings specified to contractors.

Designs for fitted joinery and custom-made furniture items will be drawn-up with plans, elevations and – where necessary – perspectives, helping you to visualise the space. Soft furnishings, proposed furniture and accessories are presented, using a combination of samples, drawings and images. These are provided with an itemised breakdown of cost

Step 3 – Project Coordination

Project coordination plays a big role in the success of any interior design scheme. We can manage every aspect of this, from supervising the interior building works to overseeing the manufacture and installation of the joinery and furniture by trusted craftsmen.

Regular onsite visits are made to oversee works and ensure quality control and efficient, hassle-free completion of your project. We hope you’ll enjoy the design process as much as we do, and we want you to be happy with every detail of your interior. To that end, we can even help with interior styling – dressing your new scheme with those all-important finishing touches.

We will continue to support you with any queries once the project is complete.
